We headed out for Jasper in Friday afternoon, the weather was crappy so we were hoping for clear roads. The drive to Hinton went by pretty quick with a nice variety of music and good father -daughter conversation. Once in Hinton we headed out to Brule to see the most adorable twins EVER. When I arrived there, Ashley greeted me with a big hug then pointed to the floor "There one of them". There laying on a play mat was Phoenix in a jumper covered in ants. He won my heart as soon as I picked him up. He had these beautiful dark blue eyes that he would not take off of me. He layed in my arms squirming all over the place and letting out these unique cute gurgle sounds. Hurley was sleeping but Ashley brought her out so I could hold her anyways. It was a quick visit but I was uber happy to see Ashley, Richard, Hurley and Phoenix.
We then continued out journey to Jasper which did not take long at all and was so familiar, I knew every turn, hill and mountain since we use to go there a lot when we were kids and lived in Hinton. We stopped for supper at L&W, the place we always went to when we were there. The place had the most amazing atmosphere I have ever seen, we were seated in this little cove that was covered in fig trees, I could not even stand up in there without getting my head buried in the branches. I love Greek food so much and it is going to be awesome when I'm there, I sure will be eating good that's for sure.
After our awesome meal we headed to the hotel, after a little searching we found where the party was taking place. Everyone was there and man it was good to see everyone again and to finally meet people that is kinda family that you have only seen in pictures.
The day of the wedding has finally arrived and I must say we could have asked for better weather. It was sunny but sure was cold, poor us woman and our need to look good and wear skirts and dresses. The wedding it self was beautiful and simply, it was done in a historic church that was picture perfect, I know see why Michelle wanted it here.
Now it's party time and wow did Michelle ever do an amazing job at the banquet room, everything was amazing from the chairs, the tables, the meal (num num) and the candy table, yes that's right there was a candy table that you were able to fill up candy bags and take how, I must admit I filled two.
Thank you Michelle for inviting me, I had an amazing time talking and seeing people from Ireland since I will be heading over there soon.
Congratulations Michelle and Stephan Formstone.
